I recently flew from Sydney to the Gold Coast with Jetstar during COVID-19. My journey began in Sydney’s South West suburbs. I caught the train to the airport which costs about $20 with an Opal Card. With COVID-19, some passengers on the train are wearing masks.

Torquay is about an hours drive from Melbourne, just past Geelong on the coast. You might have driven through Torquay if you’ve ever driven down the Great Ocean Road. It’s known for its surf beaches and is the birthplace of the Rip Curl brand.
Outside of Disney World and Universal, SeaWorld is one of the most popular locations to visit in Orlando. Our friend gave us annual passes which gave us access to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens.
We left the Marriott Grand Chateau and got on the road early. It was a day of driving through the mountains. We headed North to explore Death Valley. It isn’t on the road from Las Vegas to LA so you have to plan an extra 3-4 hours for the journey.
In the early 2000s I visited one of Queensland’s jewels, Great Keppel Island – 15km off Australia‘s Capricorn Coast near Yeppoon. I visited once as a teen and again as a young adult. We stayed at the resort and I remember it being a great holiday.
